The 5th Philadelphia International Tango Festival, the most ambitious Argentine tango event in the city's history, features celebrated tango performers and teachers Gustavo Naveira and Giselle Anne, along with Nick Jones, Diana Cruz, Adam Hoopengardner, Ciko Tanik, Andres Amarilla, and Meredith Klein. Presented over four days will be 25 workshops, including a multi-day beginner tango seminar, eleven workshops for intermediate/advanced tango dancers, yoga/stretching classes, and two special offerings from Naveira and Anne: a six-part seminar, "Rhythm, Phrasing & Musicality," and a lecture. The Neighborhood House theater will host nightly milongas (tango social dances), with an opening night appearance by BalletX.
