Subsidized artist rental fees cover just 68% of the cost of keeping Neighborhood House open to the public.
- For over a decade, Christ Church Neighborhood House has been a vital resource for Philadelphia artists and audiences. In 2017, we served over five dozen individual artists and ensembles, hosting 118 public events for a total audience of 9,020.
- Neighborhood House, a self-sustaining program of Christ Church Preservation Trust, has a small staff, a small budget, and tremendous impact, a ripple effect that benefits hundreds of artists and their audiences. All gifts of all sizes help us preserve and increase this effect:
-
$800 subsidizes a one-week theater rental
-
$200 subsidizes a theater performances or a local artist's concert of new music on the Christ Church organ
-
$100 provides overhead for a weekend of rehearsals in the Great Hall
-
$50 subsidizes an afternoon workshop or audition
-
$5 replaces a broken lamp in a theater light
