Description:

Variety acts filled Philadelphia stages when Neighborhood House first opened its doors to the community in 1915. A century later, our 2016 gala celebrates this distinctly American mix of dance, music, circus, and comedy with performances by artists channeling the original vaudevillians.

Grab a cocktail, draw back the red curtains, and enjoy the vintage acrobatics of Almanac Dance Circus Theatre, a wink and a lark from singer Martha Stuckey, and musical comedy by Megan Thibodeaux—all with accompaniment by pianist Fred Brown. Your host for the evening will be Mary Tuomanen, named 2015 Best Theater Talent by Philadelphia Magazine, and artist Dan Hughes will be on hand to help guests put the finishing touches on a bespoke commemorative poster.

All event proceeds benefit the Christ Church Preservation Trust. The Trust, a secular nonprofit, ensures the preservation of and strengthens the multiple communities that use historic Christ Church properties.
