Description:
A Fierce Kind of Love is a collage of stories—large and intimate—of Pennsylvania's Intellectual Disabilities' Rights Movement. Through words, movement and song, the play explores a remarkable (and largely untold) history and celebrates the activism and fierce love that fuel the desire for dignity. Written by Obie-nominated Suli Holum, directed by David Bradley, and produced by the Institute on Disabilities at Temple University, A Fierce Kind of Love is for anyone who has ever wanted to be accepted, heard, or loved for who they are.
A Fierce Kind of Love is performed by a mixed ability cast. All performances are ASL interpreted and CART captioned. Audio description available upon request.
Major support for A Fierce Kind of Love has been provided by the Pew Center for Arts and Heritage.
