Tempesta di Mare
Aaron Sheehan & Adam Pearl

Event Times:

Jan 15th 2016 @ 7:30pm

Description:

Grammy-winning tenor Aaron Sheehan and harpsichordist-pianist Adam Pearl perform French and English songs from the 17th and 20th centuries. Henry Purcell’s compositions, admired for their innate sense of the English language and melodic flair, find their equal in Benjamin Britten’s works, including perhaps his best known song, The Last Rose of Summer. On the other side of The Channel, French court composers, including Couperin, inspired one of that country's most famous Impressionist composers, Debussy.
