COMMUNITAS is an acrobatic dance piece accompanied by live music. Human sculptures and physical encounters animate the tale of the founding of a civilization. Virtuosic movement becomes a language of storytelling in action, evoking mountains, deserts, coasts, and home. Traversing these mythic landscapes, performers come face-to-face with their own limitations and exhaustion, and together strive to overcome them.
