Join keynote speaker Glenn Adamson for the opening event of Technicalities: Meaning in Methods, a symposium presented by The Center for Art in Wood and The Clay Studio, in conjunction with Craft NOW Philadelphia. With his address, Production Values: The Relevance of Technique in Contemporary Art and Design, Adamson will explore new and traditional methods and their conceptual repercussions in the contemporary wood and ceramic fields.
 
Glenn Adamson is the former Nanette L. Laitman Director of the Museum of Arts and Design and a longtime friend of The Center for Art in Wood. His tenure with the Center spans over 16 years, including support in developing Wood Turning in North America Since 1930 and overseeing the curation and implementation of the exhibition, Wood, Revisited, on view during the symposium. Glenn’s prowess and commitment to the Center and its core mission has played a significant role in shaping its history and outlook for the future.
