Please join us at the Neighborhood House for Reuben’s Kitchen, a special gathering to honor our great friend and colleague, Reuben Mitchell.

The Kitchen was inspired by Reuben’s own work in the Philadelphia theatre community, and beyond. Reuben was an extraordinary talent; always willing to take on weighty subjects, and go places in his acting that were exhilarating and new. In This Is The Week That Is and countless other productions, Reuben tackled politics with humor and grace on-stage while inspiring, challenging and delighting colleagues off-stage.

Reuben’s Kitchen is an open forum to keep his creative spirit alive. Friends, family, neighbors, fans and artists of all disciplines are invited to contribute: Share a smile, a dish, a draft, a dance, a memory, a masterpiece—or just come and enjoy good company. Pieces need not be directly related to Reuben, or in any way complete. In fact, if they’re not, even better; A kitchen is a place of gathering and transformation, after all.
